Comments for Psychedelic Furs, The, Mirror MovesE-MAIL: kristen@ucla.edu When you compare it to their first two albums it doesn't stand up very well. Slick and over-produced it nonetheless stands as a document to the mid-80's new-wave sorta sound.E-MAIL: saulnier@mcn.org if you skip past the too mellow songs on this album (heaven, ghost in you, ect.) . this is a great album. two of my very favorite fab furs songs are on this disk (alices house and highwire days). richard got all his heroin fueled emotion out perfectly on this album and the guitar, synths, horns and percusion are really good .E-MAIL: annhmn@gnn.com The rough edges and noise from the first three albums are gone, but the back-up vocals, harmonies, and instruments are all in top form to give an overall seamless performance. another thoroughly enjoyable listening experience!E-MAIL: markm@neri.org It's not their best, but this is the album that hooked me at first. I don't know, it's sometimes overproduced, but I've never heard a song sweeter than "The Ghost in You". It may not fit in to the Furs sound, but that song is gorgeous. And "Highwire Days", "Here Come Cowboys", and "Alice's House" are pretty damn good, too.E-MAIL: agoa@iscte.pt This is one of the GREATESTS albuns ever made. Just FABULOUS! I wish to thank the Furs (and specially Richard Buttler) for this work. Best wishes. AGO.E-MAIL: chas@ucla.edu This album will probably be considered one of the top ten "80''s albums" of all time. it's kind of like the furs meet the beatles in a way i liked it when iwas younger and drinking heavily but then that's who the album is speaking to in my view don't have i now though although i have most of their others, especially thier early ones...Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
