Comments for Psychedelic Furs, The, Forever NowE-MAIL: annhmn@gnn.com This is the first furs album I owned, and this is what got me hooked, so I'd have to say that it's my favorite. It has a fine blend of sarcasm and sweetness, with a touch of weirdness thrown in - perfect for putting on the headphones and checking out for awhile. Adding to the listening pleasure is Todd Rundgren's excellent production!E-MAIL: markm@neri.org It''s albums like this that make me appreciate the fact that there will never be a band like The Psychedelic Furs. Who else could write a song like "President Gas" or "Sleep Comes Down"? Furs` third album drops the post-punk fury altogether for a more new-wave sorta sound. With the brilliant "Love My Way" they attracted mainstream attention for the first time. This was the first line-up change they had, dropping their sax player and second guitarist. Not bad at all -- some would say it`s a brilliant album but it`s pretty mellow when compared with the first two masterpieces.Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
