Comments for Psychedelic Furs, The, Forever Now

This is the first furs album I owned, and this is what got me hooked, so I'd have to say that it's my favorite. It has a fine blend of sarcasm and sweetness, with a touch of weirdness thrown in - perfect for putting on the headphones and checking out for awhile. Adding to the listening pleasure is Todd Rundgren's excellent production!

It''s albums like this that make me appreciate the fact that there will never be a band like The Psychedelic Furs. Who else could write a song like "President Gas" or "Sleep Comes Down"?

Furs` third album drops the post-punk fury altogether for a more new-wave sorta sound. With the brilliant "Love My Way" they attracted mainstream attention for the first time. This was the first line-up change they had, dropping their sax player and second guitarist. Not bad at all -- some would say it`s a brilliant album but it`s pretty mellow when compared with the first two masterpieces.
