Comments for Public Enemy, Apocalypse 91... The Enemy Strikes Black

Not nearly as impressive as the two which preceded it. But there''s some smooth rapping found on "NightTrain", "One Million Bottle Bags" is a great PE track, and "Shut ''Em Down"s mix of rock & rap is way out front of the pack. I was disappointed that despite the album''s general tone towards black-motivated self-improvement and the scheduling of 1,000,000 Bottle Bags as the first single, the decision was made to market this in an anti-white fashion with low points "Can''t Touch This" & "Time I Get To Arizona" as first 2 videos. P.E. continued to blame everything on whitey while beating their lovers & taking in lots of money. Anyway, they''re pretty well played out by now - who cares.
Chuck D, Flavor Flav and Terminator X kick 14 more powerfultracks about peace, alcoholism, racism, libel, and gettingthings together.
