Roy, the band and I left England in 1989 and went to Los Angeles, where the band played one gig, Roy who was never one for playing live, refused to play small venues, and his girlfriend was expecting a child so the band unfortunately split up.

THE BAMBI SLAM HAS A UNIQUE SOUND THAT COMBINES A LITTLE OF A COUNTRY SOUND WITH HARD GUITARS AND TRIBAL TYPE DRUMMING. THEY PROBABLY FALL INTO THE SAME VEIN AS R.E.M., THE CALL. THE ALARM, AND OTHER BANDS OF THAT SORT, ALTHOUGH THEY DON`T REALLY SOUND LIKE ANY OF THEM. ONE OF MY FAVORITE BANDS, IF ANYONE HAS INFORMATION ON WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS BAND, PLEASE E-MAIL ME.
