***1/2 At this point in their careers, the boys could really care less what the critics want- they're releasing whatever the heck they feel like. PRIME CUTS-- "Distant Early Warning", "Afterimage", "The Enemy Within", and of course "Between The Wheels". --J. Teel

Between The Wheels, Afterimage, and Kid Gloves are the 3 that REALLY STAND OUT. Lifeson's solo on Kid Gloves can't be matched by any guitarist of that era. Geddy's vocals stand out a lot. Don't ignore The Body Electric, Red Sector A, or The Enemy Within. The Album Cover is a piece of art.

The last great Rush album.

Overall, one of my least favorite Rush cd''s! It is slightly better than "All The World''s A Stage" and "Fly By Night," but not as good as "Caress Of Steel" or "2112." The problem seems to be-a change of producers. There are a few good songs on this cd, but most of it is filler!! It''s quite unfortunate that a cd like "Signals" was followed by this! There really aren''t any standouts on this cd, with the possible exception of "Red Lenses!" "Between The Wheels," "Afterimage" and "Distant Early Warning" are ok, but the other songs leave quite a bit to be desired! Fortunately, this was followed by an absolute masterpiece-"Power Windows!!" This cd, even (the digitally remastered version) rates a 6/10!
BLAH BLAH BLAH
WAY better sounding than Signals! Alex' guitar can actually be heard!!! D E W and Subdivisions have the same beginning!!! Very angry, bitter album. Very good though. 7/10 *******
