***1/2 Their second live album. At this point rush was the hottest and most seeked after live band around. This album shows why PRIME CUTS-- great versions of "YYZ", "A Passage to Bangkok", "Jacob's Ladder", "La Villa Strangiato" and the whole third side. --J.Teel

This is a great live album, and just YYZ is worth buying the album. It is amazing

Broons Bane -> The Trees is amazing. Peart's percussion on The Trees is great. The selection of songs could have been a little different. But its still a geat live album.

Exit is one of the great live albums of rock, and the best live effort by Rush (not including bootleg live albums!). The song selection, the amazing performances by Neil, Alex and Geddy, and the quality of it make this a keeper!! Tom Sawyer, La Villa, YYZ (and the drum solo!!), as well as my favorite track The Spirit of Radio are insanely well done. This album got me hooked on Rush and is just as powerful today as when it was performed. A solid 10!!

The best live album yet for me. Neil Peart is indeed the best drummer in the world. Excellent selection of songs. Their music is full of surprises ..!!

Good live album, though not much improvisation. Standouts include Broons Bane Trees, La Villa Strangioto. Unfortunately the CD doesn't include Passage to Bankok. I can live without the tune's druggie vibe, but the solo on this particular tune is a great raunchier vision than the studio cut. It should be added back to future CDs.

Overall this is the best live album by any "art-rock" band! It is thoroughly impressive throughout! The only reason why someone might be reluctant to give this cd less than a 10 may be due to the sound! I have the digitally remastered version of "ESL." This cd is an absolute masterpiece! The way the superb songs, "Jacob''s Ladder," "Broon''s Bane," "The Trees" and "Xanadu" flow together like a wonderfully "mind- expanding" river is awesome! This cd takes you to different places and I always hear something new, each and every time I listen to it. This is the best "art-rock" cd ever, it surpasses "Dark Side Of The Moon" and "Fragile!" This cd should have been subtitled: "Rush''s Greatest Hits/Live Vol. I!" 5 stars for this absolute masterpiece!!!! Absolutely deserves a rating of 10/10. The only song that really does not fit here is "Beneath,Between and Behind."
