Comments for Saga, Heads Or Tales

I also agree that this was disappointing in light of what Saga did with World's Apart. My first (and lasting) impression was that the record company probably rushed this one out to capitalize on the success of W.A.

Although this album is diferent to the first four ones, I like it very much, especially "The Flyer", "The Vendetta" and "Scratching the Surface". It"s a different sound of Saga but still excellent.

I realize most Saga fans consider this an unworthy followup to a GREAT album, "Worlds Apart". I beg to differ, however. Although the style of "Heads or Tales" is more low-key than the afore-mentioned recording, it tends to grow on you with repeated listenings. There are many outstanding tracks here, my favorite being "Intermission". Any album which includes such a masterpiece is worth the price of admission, period. "The Flyer" is also Saga in peak form. Excellent recording!

About what someone said about the record company rushing this one out to capitalize on Worlds Apart: This album came out two years after Worlds Apart, hardly rushing if you ask me. But I do think this is an excellent album. I think the change was mainly the decision of the bandmates themselves, since they continued to write this style of music in their Bonaire days as well.
