Comments for Schulze, Klaus, X

This is the album that really turned me on to ambient electronic music and the possibilities it presents. And as far as "presenting possibilities" is concerned, Klaus Schulze really did it better than anybody else. This album has it all--sequencer-driven rhythmic excursions, orchestral interludes, and some of the "spaciest" music you''re ever likely to hear. Too bad Schulze wasn''t around to score Kubrick''s 2001--this music, especially the last piece "Heinrich Von Kleist" would''ve worked perfectly (not that Ligeti''s music didn''t work, but this really would''ve been better in some ways). If you ever decide to buy ANY electronic music whatsoever, be sure to put this one at the very top of your list--- you will not regret it!
`Sechs musikalische Biographien` or `Six Musical Biographies`as per the subtitle of the album. An experimental, progressiveand electronic music album in the sequence of such titles as`Moondawn` or `Audentity`. Essential.
