Listen to the solo in the beginning of "Sails of Charon" and the solos on his solo albums and you will understand that Uli Roth probably had a huge influence on Yngwie Malmsteen!

A great album (recording). Hint...listen for the english words at the end of "Born To Touch Your Feelings" to understand what all the girls are singing...in different languages.

Ulrich...is confirmed to be one of the best classically-influenced guitar players, since Fly to the Rainbow. I do not understand why he is not as recognized as Yngwie, even though Ulrich was among the pioneers in this style.

Interesting fact: Testament have released a Greatest Hits album, out of the US, with "Sails Of Charon" originally by the Scorps. Taken By Force- another great early Scorp moment.

TAKEN BY FORCE represents the best iconoclast of SCORPIONS. To me this is the coolest album of the SCORPIONS. With such pieces as : "We'll burn the sky", "The riot of your time" - which says about a new born-king of r'n'r that will take advantage in time instead of the past king, ELVIS, who died in 1977, coincidentally whith my year of birth (02/17/77); referring to a time somewhere in 1994-1995 (while in 1995, I, personally, have ever listent to "The riot"), "He's a woman, she's a man" -a song from where Metallica were very deep inspired as well as Black Sabbath, "The sails of charon" - where Uli makes magic through his flexible fingers, "You light" -a rock epic with South- American accents, and, nevertheless, "Born to touch your feelings" -the best ever ballad at that time. I JUST LOVE THIS ALBUM...SO MUCH !

Yes, "We'll Burn the Sky" kicks lots of ass! But I like the Tokyo Tapes version better. And for Riot Of Your Time--I'm that new Rock N Roll King they sing about. I was born in 1977. And I started playing guitar in 1994. Watch out world, Alternative and Grunge will completely die when I hit the scene! Scorpions and Roth forever!!!

I havent heard this album yet, But I'mn sure it's good. I havent found a scorpions album I didnt like and this is the last one I need to finish my collection of EVERY album scorpions ever released. It's costing me $30 to order it from Germany. I'm sure it's worth it because SCOPRIONS RULE!!!!!!!!

I had the album it was my ALL tima favorite but I'm trying to find it oc cd where can I get everyone says it's out of print

Taken by Force is in my opinion the best Album of the Scorpions when Roth was a member. Sadly that the company who made the CDs went bankrupt and so it''s almost impossible to get.
