The latest album, Kiss This, contains all the tracks from Never Mind the Bollocks plus some of their later tracks as well. So, buy Kiss This instead!!!!

This is not so much a review of the album (which needs no review...just get it), but just a sort of anecdote about the origen of one of the songs. It seems that Malcom McLauren, who sort of invented the punk scene, told John Lyden (Johnny Rotten) to write a song about submission. He of course was expecting a dark violent punk dirge about sexual submission. Lyden, always looking for a way to piss anyone off, came back with the album track "Submission", the jist of which can be summerized by the first line "I'm on a submarine mission for you babe." I dunno...I just think that's great.

The best punk album on the market. If you are interested in punk or music in general...a must.

Punk'n'roll?

Anyone with a brain knows this is an awesome, classic, album, so instead of telling people what they allready should know, here's an amusing anecdote to "Holidays in the Sun." The Sex Pistols had gone on holiday to Berlin to escape the pressures of London. While at the wall, Johnny was flipping off soldiers who were on post there. Another tourist asked him what he was doing. "Do you want to get shot, maybe cause an international incident?" "That's what I'm here for," responded John. "That's what I call a holiday."

Don't think you can single out any one album or work of art as absolutely "BEST" of its kind - but this album is sure in the running. To someone who got into music in the 60s then suffered through the early seventies, it was great to hear that disco hadn't killed off rock after all!

A punk rock classic that is an ode to social distortion. "Anarchy" "Pretty Vacant" and "God Save..." are all-time punk standards. However, songs like "No Feelings" carry this album to the mountain-top. "Bodies" stands as one of the most rabid, and descriptive anti-abortion songs (maybe one of the only ones) ever. "Never Mind The Bollocks" can be summed up as one for the ages.
