Handclaps & singin' through your nose is funky for about 2 minutes but this gets old quicker than that. How about funky hooks or funky melodies or fat drums. Naaaaa, that would actually compete with the likes of Roger or the Gap Band or even Death Row for that matter.

Listen up people...if you're a late 70's to early 80's funk lover, then you've got to hear this CD. This band has flown through a time-warp even though this was produced in 1992 it sounds like it's straight from the 70's. If you like "Early in the morning", "Flashlight", Funkadelic", etc. then you'll dig this! IF you don't recognize the previous titles...then step away from the FUNK, for it will devour un-believers!

This band is f*cking bad a$$!! They know what funky is and more importantly, they are extremely talented. This is a great cd and if I had things my way, I''d have this style of music come back big time because it''s so much better than the s*it out these days. I''m 20, but I know my music, and Slapbak rocks!
