UNLIKE BANDS SUCH AS METALLICA & MEGADETH THE MUSIC WAS GENUINELY SANGUINE AND NOT AS 'USER FRIENDLY' AS SOMETHING LIKE MASTER OF PUPPETS. SLAYER WERE AT THE FOREFRONT OF THRASH METAL WITH THIS C.D. AND ALONGSIDE BANDS SUCH AS DESTRUCTION,VOI-VOD CELTIC FROST,VENOM, HELLHAMMER, KREATOR ETC WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS HAVING COMPOSED SOME CAVERNOUS CACOPHONIES, EVEN THOUGH THE COMING YEARS SAW THEM LAPSE INTO METALLICAESQUE MOMEMTS OF ACCESSIBILITY I.E. MANDATORY SUICIDE, THEIR LIVE SHOWS STILL STAND AMONGST THE BEST AND FEATURE ELABORATE STAGING. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY THE EMPHASIS IS ON THE CAUSTIC DELIVERY OF THE MATERIAL AND NOT POSTURING A.K.A. HETFIELD/MUSTAINE. FORGET TRENDY ACTS SUCH AS PANTERA OR SEPULTURA WHOSE LIVE PERFORMANCES WERE OBLITERATED BY THE MIGHTY SLAYER. THE ONLY THING LEFT TO DO IS TO MOVE ON AND STOP UTILIZING FORMULAIC SONG STRICTURES E.G. DITTOHEAD/POSTMORTEM WAR ENSEMBLE/ANGEL OF DEATH. TO RECAPTURE THE MAJESTY OF THIS CLASSIC THEY WOULD HAVE TO DO SOMETHING NEW!!!!!!!!!

this is by far and away the best metal album that has everbeen released. this is a must. music today still does notmatch the power of this album

Fuck Yeah!!!!!, this albums the shit!!!, slayer rules!, two thumbs up for this awesome cd!!!, yeah i mean nonstop soloing throughout each song, great heavy ripping guitar riffs, and of course toms vocals, yeah!!!!!!!!, Viva La Slayer!!!
