This album was THE rock & roll event of the latter part of the 20th Century. I'm sure Bob Seger, Jackson Browne, and many other artists might agree.

Anyone who doesn''t love "Thunder Road" should be shot. This song, the title track, and "Backstreets" are three of the most perfect songs ever recorded. Any music fans regardless of your personal tastes should buy this...and why this album isn''t a perfect 10 on the ratings is insane.
This is Bruce`s breakthrough album. He had previously been critically acclaimed but not a big seller. Columbia was threatening to drop him. This album made Springsteen the name in rock that he has maintained through the present day. This album`s success led Bruce to simultaneous appearances on the covers of Time and Newsweek, the first time ever by a musician. Every song is a classic. This is one of the best rock albums ever.
