Comments for Springsteen, Bruce, Human Touch

hey, Bruce, what were you thinking? Although this album is pretty domestic, it's still Bruce. And Bruce is the king. I think he was cleansing his soul so he can give us his next great offering to the rock and roll world. You can't deny it though this album kind of sucks.

This album was mostly overlooked; too bad, it's an excellent one. Although it may not be quite as good as Lucky Town, it still contains one of his very best songs, Human Touch.

It''s a strange Springsteen album indeed when it fails to move me at all and Human Touch does not. This is his weakest record and probably his only bad one ever. There are a couple of minor quirky pleasures here like the ominous "57 Channels and Nothing On" and the cute "Pony Boy" but not much else works. Thankfully, "Lucky Town" was released at same time, proving that Bruce could still write wonderful music.
Released at same time as LUCKY TOWN, this is in most opinions the better of the two, I disagree. This is some decent music here but the absence of the E Street Band really shows. "I Wish I Were Blind" is probably the only song off this album that will survive the test of time.
