Comments for Springsteen, Bruce, Greatest Hits

O.K. Boss , we did enjou it ! But we need a little bit more of new material, and the E Street Band along the journey ..... By the way 'Secret Garden' seems to perfectly capture the man-woman relationships. Thanks once more for the intimacy of the material

This album has EVERYTHING! All of his good songs!

This album is quite extensive. It is missing some essential Springsteen favorites, it is still great. Rosalita probably should have appeared even though it was never a "hit". The 4 new ones are excellent. The E Street Band sounds as good as they did 10 years ago. Bruce's voice holds up quite well on "This Hard Land". Secret Garden is a great song about relationships. Blood Brothers has some references to the E Street Band in the lyrics. We all have been listening to "Murder Incorporated" for 10 years and this remix is better than the outtake version from 1984. A must for any Springsteen fan.

Damn! Ya mean I gotta buy a CD with 15 songs I already got in order to get four new songs? Bruce, baby, gimme a break!

I know, we've all heard much of this stuff too many times before. But the improved audio quality on these tracks is great, and it's worth owning just for 'This Hard Land'.

The only Springsteen track that's *good* = In the streets of Philadelphia.

I hate greatest hits albums. I mean, they are not for the real fans. They are for the average nine to fiver who doesn't have time to get in depth. Just give that guy the hits, and nothing but the hits. Give me new music, and nothing but good new music. I think Bruce is just buying time for the new one, so I will excuse him, but please, no Greatest Hits part two.

Worth buying if only for what just may be Bruce's greatest song, This Hard Land. He rivals Dylan on this one. Truly incredible.

It appears that Bruce is trying to collect some of his more introspective work here, as a lot of these weren't hits in the charting sense. You have songs here from Born To Run, Nebraska, and Darkness, and they are not the obvious selections. Alas, this is a good collection, but it seems that Bruce is straining to fit 18 songs on here, and some of the selections and cutoffs show this. Greatest Hits is good, but it is all too brief. For all of his excellent work, he should have a comprehensive boxed set to display it. In other words, you can't fit the essence of this man onto just one CD.

I read all the previous comments on this album. I have every Bruce Springsteen album/single/EP/CD/bootleg since the 1970s. I would love to see a new album by Bruce & the E Street Band, but until he feels like doing it, settle for the best Greatest Hits album ever.
