Comments for Stansfield, Lisa, Affection

Wonderful melding of house beats and Philly soul stylings. Stansfield's voice is a sensual smile all the way through. Gamble and Huff, Thom Bell and Barry White must be proud parents indeed.

Actually, Lisa's debut album didn't impress me as much as her later works, such as the singles for Gershwin's tribute album (They can't take that away from me), Soundtrack for Indecent Proposal (In all the right places), Tribute to Marvin Gaye (Keep you satisfied). Nonetheless, a true gem. And I agree with the opinion that Clive Davis ought to revamp Lisa in the States. Whitney Houston would never have made it big if it weren't for all the promotions and endless (tirelessly too) repeated play of her songs on the radio. I absolutely loved the remix import for "So natural". A definite must-have!!

lisa stansfield wit her first solo album ensured that she is the best female singer on earth, not only on her powerful voice itīs also the perfect arrangements on her second album as well. īso naturalī is only a good job she done only for herself wit good hits on tracks 1,4,5,6,9,12,13.my friends hope to hear another woman similar to lisa, but itīs impossible cos she is also so beautiful , gorgeous her last album was loved & recognized by europe and japan but usa and her collaboration in some popular cdīs was strong. the only problem is to get some import old singles. lisa stansfield, a singer to listen forever.
Programmed/Synthesized music, but nice vocals for mindlesspop.
