Represents a shift from guitar centric to keyboards. Mark Knopfler guests, along the usual cast of characters (Carlton, Ritenour, et.al) Stylistically years ahead of the fuzak urban jazz so predominant on the airwaves today, but meaty, well crafted urbane and intellectually interesting songwriting. Sound is great on newly reissued remasters..original cd issues were made from master tapes eq'd for vinyl pressings. Very slick production work, with the illustious Roger Nichols manning the boards, there is

An excellent album. Not quite as good as "Aja" but very close. All except "Third World Man" are just amazing. "Babylon Sisters" is tremendous: the music and the recording are second to none.

this album was bought for me as a birthday present (d.o.b. 25/12/55) on xmas 80. One of the most brilliant ensembles of tasteful, intellectual, jazz, low key funk ever put out to the public. I unfortunately have only a good music cassette. as of yet not converted to c.d. in my music collection. this is one of the best albums of teh last 20 years. buy and enjoy.
