Is anyone out there making Stranglers-influenced music besides myself? (My NYC-based band, called Furniture, features a distorted bass-dominated sound with keyboards and sparse guitar, though the vocal style is not at all Cornwellian.) Email me.

The Stranglers just competed a 3 month European tour and after 21 years they are better than ever. The tour featured only one song from Black and White--Nice and Sleazy. Buy the new album About Time released 5/95

This is one of the best albums of all time. Then again, almost all of the Stranglers albums can be classified as such.!

This is the greatest of the Stranglers albums...I still remember seeing their videos on Top of The Pops back in the 70s. Buy this one and you will know why The Stranglers are revered as one of the greatest rock acts of the 70-80s period in Europe.
A white vinyl 45 was bundled with original copies of the album which contained the cuts ³Mean To Me² and ³Walk On By². The EMI CD which I recently purchased in London also contains these tracks.
