In this album you can hear Rick Wakeman (Yes) at keyboards, and he playes in a way that only he can...

I believe that John Hawken (ex-member of the original 'Renaissance' lineup) contributed the keyboards to this classic Strawbs album, projecting nightmarish themes from the mellotron. Cousins' acoustic guitar and lyricism have never shined brighter than on the track "Out in the Cold." Why A&M records of the United States refuses to reissue the Strawbs back catalog of recordings after such a long and distinguished affiliation with that company remains a mystery and disservice to the groups loyal following.

One of rocks greatest albums. Rick Wakeman, although he started out with the Strawbs, did not play keyboards on this LP. The keyboardist was John Hawken.

This album is a must have album for all Strawbs fans and for anyone who wants to hear an excellent recording!! It does not age!
This is a Canadian import that I got via the Compact DiscConnection.
A superb album by one of the later (5th?) re-incarnations of this very English band! The tracks Autumn (Heroine`s theme), Round and Round and Hero`s Theme are classics and really exciting to see performed live, even today!Keep it up Dave!
