I believe this music is of type 'Skate Punk' rather than 'Metal'. They did, however, become more metal later on.

Got turned on to S.T. in 87, I was 17. These songs are teenage beer drinking anthems. At first I was so niave that I thought they sucked, but still could'nt resist singing along to Subliminally and Intitutionallized. Became an addiction. Classic old school skatepunk. Although I became a fan of Mike Muir's metal crossover efforts (S.T. and NO MERCY), he should quit using the S.T. name because none of his original band appers on the later stuff.

This is ST's first album and it's skaterpunk and it kicks ass I remember watching "Institutionalized" back in '87 and just goin'"fuck!"(and I'm only 15) this is baadd.

What's up with the rating for this album? This album is a MUST HAVE! This album got my dad to ban me from listening ST. But oh well fuck him, what does he know. If it's your first time listening to ST, this is the album to get. None of the other albums sound anything like this one though. But you won't regret it.

yeah, Grant Estes is the greatest lead guitarist since Randy Rhodes. Nobody can play a memorable solo days, even if they try it's diluted with a fuckin crybaby or some effect!!!!Will a fuckin kick ass metal lead player please stand up!!..This guy was a fukkin legend, what the hell happened to him?
