What do you expect from Robert Fripp? Of course this album sounds King Krimson-ish, but with Toyah's extravagant vocals it is something new anyway. Features Trey Gunn on Chapman stick and Paul Beavis on drums & percussion.

A stunning album!

Great album. I'm a big Fripp fan, this album introduced me to Toyah. I bought "Ophelia's Shadow" not too long after. Her albums are quite difficult to get here in Quebec. I keep searching though. Very interesting site i learned a lot more about her.

Freedom is one of the best tracks Toyah has ever recorded. Can't wait to hear its live version, if that SAOTW live album will ever be released.

A very fresh and very beatiful album. I love the duo fripp-gunn, and I believe that the vocals of Toyah make this special.

Like another reviewer, I bought this (on cassette)when it came out because I'm a Fripp-ophile. At first I didn't like the album because it was too light on guitar, and generally to re- strained, however... I rediscovered it while working a 2nd shift job where all I had to keep me company was a tape player. Having previously dismissed it, it was easier to listen to on its own terms. Toyahs' vocal pyrotechniques completely won me over, as did the lyrics. This is one of the CD's yes, I wore out the cassette) I go back to over and over again. Utterly original.

Quite simply one of the best insightful albums written to date. This music will hurt you, it is quite breathtaking!!!!

One of the very best Fripp - related albums ever (to me). Searching for the lyrics (still didn't find) I came to this site.
Features Robert Fripp on Guitar and (his wife) Toyah Willcox on vocals.Trey Gunn plays Stick. Comparable, but slightly more musically technical, to Toyah`s album "Ophelia`s Shadow"
