Comments for Supertramp, Brother Where You Bound

The first "post-Hodgeson" Supertramp marks a clear change for the band. Most of the songs veer towards a rythmn and blues feel, with the overall quality up to the usual high standards. "Cannonball" is the highlight of the album, the solid dance tune is a good opener. The title track is a 15-minute epic with Pink Floyd's guitarist David Gilmour adding depth to the log solos. All in all, a good first effort for the post-Hodgeson Supertramp.
