This album is one of the most under rated disc''s around. It is better than any other CD put out by bands like offspring, Guns N'' Roses, or Pearl Jam. I''ll never understand why they are not mega stars!

Had Sweet Water stuck to the ideas and formulas that they began with I've always felt they would have continued on up the rock and roll feeding chain. But they succumbed to the record companies ideals and whims and candy coated their music to the point that even the A&R person apparently thought they sucked. I used to go to the shows and bought the first tapes and than the first CD and loved them then as much as now. I than bought the big major label cd on Atlantic and it contains some cool stuff, but different. It's slick, but not the great sounds they had earlier achieved. Later I bought the Superfriends and it simply sucked. Dudley was the man. When he left the band he took 'their' sound with him. The remaining members either can't write themselves or just don't channel their energies well enough to put out great product. I miss the Sweet Water I used to love, but at least I got some of the good stuff they began with. A recording deal is a terrible thing to waste, but they certainly wasted theirs!
