Comments for Swirlies, they spent their wild youthful days in the gilttering world of the salons

I agree with what Jon says, but think he might be understating things a bit. Really good stuff, dood.

this album is so very pleasing. instead of the usual my bloody valetineisms, there is faust, there is can and there is medicine. screw seana, christina brings a nice "unresty" feel to this album. if you don't own this already, you really owe it to yourself.

This album is amazing! Not only are the Swirlies starying away from the usual MBV comparisons, but their starting to develope an original sound, too! Especiall Damon's solo-ish tunes like "Pony", and "You can't be Told It..." are so so beautiful...he is such a great song writer. Christine's songs are good, too, although sometimes it's hard to distinguish their voices! My picks: "Sounds of Sebring", "Sunn", "Pony", ALL OF THEM! It's an 11!

In a pretentious kind of way, everyone who loves the Swirlies sees them as "their little secret". In this back-slapping world of Britpop we owe them more than we could possibly articulate in words. Here's to the next offering in 1999.

I agree that the swirlies have put out another fine piece of work for their latest full member release. Everything inbetween is amazing too. Sunn, pony just give me that tingly feeling inside. This is good music.
