Phenomanal!!!!!!! The haunting lyrics go beyond all logic, yet I understood everything. They are something greater than logic. Mr. By With this album Mr. Byrne has perhaps found the meaning of life. You may find it too, if you Stop Making Sense. Absolutly a must have!!!!!!

Adrian Belew's guitar work is awesome. There isn't a bad song on the album. I think this is their best album by far.

After the stark minimalism of Fear of Music, TH opted for an entirely different approach on this album-going for dense, polyrhytmatic songs that still possessed their off-kilter view. Brian Eno makes his experimental presence felt, as does Adrian Belew- who ads a great new solo guitar element. David Byrne does the closest thing he's done to rap with his "facts are" speech. A favorite of TH fans, this album really spawned only one really well known track: "Once In a Lifetime." Every song is interesting, funky and unique.

Lyrics, lyrics, lyrics! They are the best lyrics EVER on a Talking Heads album. Was Byrne already growing weary of ENO by the time he wrote this? I like the fact that ENO is the main voice in the group singing, and he tries to hide it too, how funny! I like both of their stuff, but ENO had to go. Talking heads knew it, and he knew it too. Cool fierce rythyms, and great production work. DAVID IS AGGREVATED!

I changed the album info--I took it directly off my old vinyl copy that I bought back in 1980. The track orders were wrong. Added song times. I hope this is cool (I don't know if we are allowed to do this). Great album anyway. A big sea change in style after this one. Not for the better.
