This is a pretty rad album. I just happen to think that these boys are cute, so virtually anything they do will make me smile.

This is a really cool CD. The most popular song is Whatcha Want, but the best song by far is Gratitude.

The Beastie Boys are the best group on this planet and it is no no surprise that this is one of the best albums on the planet. And if you read that bullshit comment telling you to buy it to become cool. Fuck It Man. That's bullshit if you like the Beastie Boys or good Music buy it. MAtin M.

The Beastie Boys are the best (if not only) white rap group. out there. The best song on the 'Check Your Head' album is #3 (Pass the Mike) and MCA is the dopest of the three guys.

This is probably the best Beastie's album so far. It goes from the fat sound of gratitude to the funky fresh feeling of Professor Booty. "Don't touch me, 'cause I'm electric, and if you touch me, you'll get shocked!"

Absolutly the beastie boys are as far one the most prestigious bands in this planet. Great music. great talent, excellence of its kind.

I agree that this is a great record and all that, I just want to know where the lyrics on the WWW for this album came from. There are so many mistakes. I mean, "right bazookas is what I'm using", c'mon it's EIGHT bazookas! That's only one of the mistakes in Jimmy James alone. I got an authentic lyric sheet for CYH from Grand Royal. I hope someone else could too and please correct the lyrics. A devoted -13 B-Boy album- fan.

Any rap group that can have the "Biz" and the "Nuge" together on a song has got my props, yo. Cold bus' it, yo!

This album really is massive. Some of their other stuff is interesting, but this one is heavy and massive. They combine aspects of rap and of live band music, of hip-hop funk rock and jazz, on this one. It transcends any particular genre and lays down heavy groove. It sounds good on the first play, and then starts growing on you from there. Kudos to Yauch for the fuzz bass playing that helps define part of the sound here. Great album, brilliantly produced, and highly influential. My fave tracks would be "Pass the Mic", "Finger Lookin'' Good", "Something''s Got To Give", and "Whatcha Want". By the way, the lyrics if you see them in print are actually pretty benign and positive. They say the word "f*ck" at one point and get a parental Advisory sticker here, but most everything here''s really positive and clean as detergent.

If you are cool you probably already have this album.If you aren`t cool, buy this album to try to make up forthat fact. These guys smash the notion that white peoplecan`t posses rhythm. This album, played frequently enoughWILL make you cool. It`s that good. Saying "Check YourHead is funky" is as great an understatement as "ThePacific Ocean holds more water than any tin cup I`ve seen."(With all due respect to Douglas Adams)
