THE ALLMAN BROTHERS LIVE AT FILLMORE EAST IS THE GREATEAST LIVE ALBUM OF ALL TIME. IT GIVES THE ALLMAN BROTHERS RESPECT AT A TIME WHEN EVERBODY BOOED THEM
Originally released as "Live at the Fillmore East" with a playing time of only around 65 minutes, "The Fillmore Concerts" is a truly unbelievably good album, the last of Duane Allman`s life. "The Fillmore Concerts" is filled with classic tracks: The slide guitar jam "Statesboro Blues", "One Way Out", "Trouble No More", "Hot `Lanta", and then of course the 22 minutes of "Whipping Post". One of my favorite albums, this is the defining album of the band showcasing high-energy covers of T-Bone Walker and Bobby Bland songs, and then the blues tunes like Whipping Post that got the bad started. If you like long blues jams then this is your album. One of my favorite albums.
