The Beatles' first album comprised entirely of original material, and, oh, what an album. While it does have the mystique of a "Sgt. Pepper" or "Abbey Road", its a brilliant, and underrated Beatles' album.

what a great cheery album! this truly shows how fun-loving & sensitive those Beatles could be! the movie also exhibits the witty & intelligent nature of their minds & souls. although i feel that their "newer" music gets deeper into the minds of listeners, this album still shows just how talented those 4 boys from Liverpool were and still are!

Pretty good album! my favorites are: all most all of them exept "You Can't do that", well it's ok, but not as good as the others. Their first album that was made up of all Lennon/McCartney compositions, it deserves at least a 9.

This shows the Beatles at the peak of their popularity, and more importantly, the peak of their early recordings. Of course nothing can compare to the years of experimenting (1966-68), but this one has all the right sounds for their stuff before '66. "If I Fell" has some of the coolest harmonies of John and Paul, and it's a very underrated song.

I really enjoyed working on this album. I remember me and Ringo had a little arguement throughout the recording, but all in all it went well. I have to admit I liked the later albums a little better, but-not to sound conceited or anything-I liked all the albums! We rock!! Long live me!

I was one of the lucky fortunates that saw the Beatles perform live in 1966 in Boston,MA. I will obviously never forget it. I was 17, and heavily into their music. What intrigued me at the concert was that they sounded just like they did on their recordings. No electronic doctoring needed with their talent.

I'm pretty sure Lennon/McCartney wrote World Without Love, but never recorded it. Peter and Gordon recorded and made it famous.

I beleive 'world without love' was on the album, 'universe without sympathy', and although it was written by paul macartney, was later recorded by a group called 'herman and peabody'

Very good Beatles album. All original and most of it written by John Lennon (10 out of 13 songs). I wonder who is that prolific these days. Certainly not the smashing pumpkins or alice in chains. By the way, Billy Corgan is a huge Beatles fan. What came first? The chicken or the eggman!!!

The album and The Beatles will live on forever. They are a rock music icon that will live forever.

The Beatles were a phenomenon that encountered, or more appropriately created, phases only to survive them and return to create yet another. Each of those phases contained peaks and valleys. A Hard Day's Night was an incredible crest of one such peak, that of Beatlemania. At no other time can you hear, and almost feel the collective talents coming of age, combined with the confidence of unity, as compared to almost cocky confidence as singular entertainers we witness in later years. This is a true representation of a group effort, from a group never to be surpassed in modern music. If this recording is not a 10, then what is?

"A HARD DAYS NIGHT" is a perfect example of the genius of the Lennon/McCartney Composition. Most of these classic songs were written during the filming of this, their first full feature movie. The songs are all top notcth qaulity, from the opening title to the coming of age "If I Fell" ("I Found that love was more than JUST HOLDING HANDS) Perhaps this album was the one that proved the boys were not just a flash in the pan. A Hard Day's Night has a musical unity of which most other rock bands could only dream, and the Beatles did it instinctively rather than with musical training. For example, every song on the album is either in a minor key with a major bridge, or in a major key with a minor bridge, which alone lends a tremendous sense of unity to the album. The album is easily a candidate for one of the finest rock albums of all time.

This is my favorite early Beatles album - this is their 1st songwriting peak. "Should've Known Better" is one of my favorite pre-1966 Beatles songs. About every track on here is great, and I'm hard pressed to say that about most Beatles albums (which usually have at least one below average song on them).

At least here in the northeast, the radio stations shove Led Zeppelin down our ears constantly and make us believe that "Stairway To Heaven" is the greatest song ever written and some deep lyrical masterpiece. For me, it just got to the point that after hearing their songs 10,000 times over, I'm sick of them and think they get way too much credit than they deserve (unlike the Beatles who I've heard 10,000 times & still love most of it). They are good - I like them best when they verge from their loud bluesy rock & roll: side 3 of their 3rd album. But yes, they're not one of my favorites.

i usually avoid them because Dad listens to them. i like to keep the generation gap alive and kicking. of course, i do stray. take the Beatles for example.
