Comments for The God Machine, Scenes From The Second Storey

E-MAIL: x9520054@smail1.rrz.uni-koeln.de
this is not just another album from just another band. The God Machine is simply brilliant: humble, honest and powerfull when needed. GOD I LOVE THIS BAND! (too bad their bass player died in 94 after they had recorded their second album. The singer has founded a record label, Flower shop (elevate, swervedriver,...) and did producing for Rosa Mota etc, but: is playing in a new band called SOPHIA, with some swervedriver-people in it. First single may already be released in the states... PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED...)
The God Machine`s album "Scenes From The Second Storey" issimply what the term "emotion" is all about. A mix betweenthe ambience and shrouded mystery of gothic and thebeautiful intensity of the sounds of darkness, this is analbum worth more than just one listen....

I saw them in 1993. Listening to them now (after a five year break) and they still sound absolutely amazing. As they say in scenes from the second storey "why do all the things have to change just when they mean the most", tragic. God bless their soul
Seminal stuff. Very influential to me at a very formative age; timeless.
