Comments for The Love Cowboys, Broth

E-MAIL: Jarbenz@aol.com
This record is actually called "Broth" It is the second Love Cowboys record, and I was the guitar player (Saltine) Thank You very much . . .

Yes, Jordan is right, of course. Big Paw was the first, and featured excellent tracks such as Horticulture, Groove Thang, Mababas. Broth (tracks listed above) was the second, and even more brilliant. The band then moved to San Francisco and soon splintered. :( Li''l Rip now drums for Throneberry back in Cincy with another J. Arbenz, Jason.
Cincinnati funk band. Fun stuff.

I really loved Bigpaw, was a very catchy album with good lyrics. Impossible to find however. The Love Cowboys tho were even better live, especially one time I saw em in College Corner.

averrous is right on. I went to Miami University when The Love Cowboys lived in town - they ALWAYS got the room groovin' There was nothing like a Friday night with a little smoke and little love. I still treasure the tape we made listening to them play live at a radio station in Cincinnati. Peace.

Any ideas on how to get copies of their albums? My tape copy is dying from too much use and I need to find a new copy. Help.

(6/26/01) Matt Hergert (Little Ripple, drums) will soon be constructing a Love Cowboys website. The remaining copies of BROTH, and possibly BIGPAW, will be avaliable there. Email me if you want to be notified when the site is up.
