These musicians were first "discovered" by Brion Gysin and William Burroughs in Morocco. The musicians are a special caste exempt from daily farming. They are evokers of the djenoun forces, spirits of the hills and the flocks and above all the spirits of music. This album was recorded by Bill Laswell.
