I agree that this band is a Doors ripoff! This band sucks!

The Tea Party are an AMAZING band from Canada and although the lead singer Jeff is a dead-ringer for Jim Morrison, they are NOT the Doors (or Zeppelin for that matter)!! If you've seen these guys live you know how good they are!

The Tea Party are amazing. Difficult to describe them any other way. Some people say that they have no original sound (because they sound like The Doors, Led Zep.,etc.). But The Tea Party are a fantastic blend of many genres of music, creating a totally original (and wonderful) sound. "The River" is simply brilliant.

Anyone who is stupid enough to actually say The Tea Party is a Doors ripoff band obviously knows nothing about either band. Apart from Jeff Martin''s looks, there is no similarity whatsoever--I don''t remember Jim Morrison playing guitar, let alone the amount of instruments that Jeff Martin plays, nor the Doors having the eastern influences that are apparent in The Tea Party''s music. The Tea Party has put out several albums in the 90''s and are one of the few sincerely talented bands making music today. Each and every album is an absolute triumph. If you don''t get the Tea Party''s ways, too bad. If you do, then you will be rewarded with music from a wonderfully talented band who has the reputation from fellow musicians and bands as being one of the best around. With The Tea Party''s relative obscurity throughout most of the world, one would be surprised at all the bands who rave about these 3 gentleman from Windsor, Ontario. In fact, to quote the legendary Jimmy Page(The founding member of and guitarist for Led Zeppelin, for those of you who don''t know) "I only wish that Led Zeppelin could have sounded as great as The Tea Party does". Robert Plant and Jimmy Page are both rabid fans of the band, not to mention The Rolling Stones. Considering the impact of Led Zep and The Rolling Stones, you would be a fool to not at least open your mind to the experience that only The Tea Party can bring you.
Really good album (CD, whatever). Great combination of electricand acoustic guitar (and sitar).
