Comments for Thompson, Richard, Daring Adventures

I am another devoted Thompson fanatic, and this is the first one of his I bought after hearing of his reputation. Although there are others I like better now, I still am very impressed by this one. In particular "Jennie" is a favorite with its sad lyrics and haunting guitar. Check it out.

My personal favorites are Dead Man's Handle and How Will I Ever Be Simple Again.

Not a bad cut on the entire CD.

... probably his last album of which that could be said.

This album is sort of a transition away from the angry rock of "Crowded Room" to the more varied pop approach of "Amnesia". Some of the tracks come across as being "filler", but there are a number of RT classics here. "Al Bowlly''s In Heaven" is probably one of his best tunes. "Valerie" and "Jennie" are also favorites Thompson fans.
Another great album. Nearly in Love is a classic cut.
